NEXT STOP: TAIPEI, TAIWAN. PRÓXIMA PARADA: TAIPEI, TAIWAN.

No me gusta volver de un viaje sin tener un siguiente viaje organizado. Aterricé hace poco de Barcelona (BCN) y parece que el proyecto de verano (Taiwán) va cobrando cada vez más forma.

La empresa: Es una empresa con sede social en Washington DC y que ahora se está implementándose en Taiwán. La empresa vende un producto que analiza el ritmo cardíaco y demás características relativas al corazón, trasfiere la información al ordenador del usuario, y mediante una sincronización con un equipo de médicos, el cliente obtiene un informe del estado actual. El producto permite a los clientes adelantarse a futuros problemas concernientes al corazón.

Estancia en Taipei: Las 8 horas diarias que se trabajan en occidente parecen mucho y se lucha por reducir las jornadas. Según lo que tengo entendido, las jornadas laborales en Taiwán alcanzan las 10 horas diarias, 6 días a la semana. A esto se le llama “trabajar como un chino” (sin ánimo de ofender). El departamento donde trabajaré se llama “Business Development Unit”. La empresa nos alojará en un apartamento a mi compañera Mavi y a mí.

Viaje hasta Taiwán: los vuelos aún no están confirmados, pero lo más probablemente sean los siguientes (ida el día 29 de junio, vuelta el día 26 de agosto):

I don’t like much the idea of coming from a trip without having the next one planned. I landed few days ago from Barcelona (BCN) and it seems that the project for this summer is starting to take shape (Taiwan).

The company: Headquartered in Washington DC, the company is now establishing itself in Taiwan. The business sells a product that analyzes the heart rhythm and many other heart-related factors, transfers the data to the user’s computer, and synced with a team of doctors, the customer gets a report of this health status. This product allows the clients to preview future health diseases.

The stay in Taipei: In western countries we work 8 daily hours, which seem to be quite long, and fight to get our working hours reduced. As far as I know, people work 10 daily hours in Taiwan, 6 days a week. This is what in Spain is called to “work as a Chinese” (no offense). The department where I’ll be working on is called “Business Development Unit”. The company will accommodate both my friend Mavi and I in an apartment.

The journey to Taiwan: even if flights have not yet been confirmed, these are going to be our flights, or at least we expect to (outbound flight on June 29th, return August 26th).
