¡Hola a todos desde Taiwán!

Hace ya 5 días que vinimos a Taiwán. La verdad es que las cosas cambian mucho de Europa a Asia (y eso que se supone que estamos en lo más desarrollado de Asia). La primera impresión del país fue bastante negativa (y la segunda, y la tercera…).

El viaje desde San Sebastián (EAS) hasta Taipei (TPE) duró aproximadamente 26-28 horas. Tuvimos que coger 4 vuelos (2 de Iberia, 2 de Cathay Pacific). Un chofer nos recogió en el aeropuerto internacional de Taipei-CKS y nos trajo a Hsinchu. En Hsinchu está la mejor univesidad de Taiwán, que se llama NCTU.

Estamos alojados en las residencias universitarias. La verdad es que las residencias aquí no son como en España; sobretodo en aspectos de higiene. La empresa para la que estamos trabajando aquí es GTMRI, Inc. Poco a poco iré introduciendo más novedades.

Hello to everyone from Taiwan!

It’s been 5 days since we landed in Taiwan. Things in Asia are very different from what they used to be in Europe (even if Taiwan is supposed to be the most developed area in Asia). The first sight over here was very negative (and even the second, the third…).

The trip from San Sebastian (EAS) to Taipei (TPE) took approximately 26-28 hours. We had to take 4 flights (2 on Iberia, 2 on Cathay Pacific). A driver picked us up at the international airport of Taipei-CKS and brought us to Hsinchu. In Hsinchu is located the best university of Taiwan, called NCTU.

Our lodging is in the university dormitories. Telling the truth, student halls are very different in Taiwan; and more if we talked about hygiene. The company for which we are working here is called GTMRI, Inc. I’ll be giving you more info shortly.
